My husband has a cute ass. I'm proclaiming this since it's probably the most innocent thing I could see in his hip x-rays today. Everything skeletal was pretty intimidating.
We confirmed this afternoon that John will soon need to have a "rotational osteotomy" on his left hip within the next few weeks. It will be his seventh surgery. That's pretty amazing to me. Unfortunately, no one in Austin specializes in osteotomies of the hip, but we think there might be a surgeon at the Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas who can help us. I just hope that we won't need to go out of state.
14 hours from now I'll take the GRE. It's not really the top thing on my mind right now.
It's gonna suck.

I blog less when I'm happy. A lot less. I think that's true of everyone,
really. You're too busy experiencing the moment and spend a lot less time
moaning ...

I was talking to John about this on Facebook the other night, I told him I'd talk to my dad about what you guys found out. So I read this and asked my dad if he had anything to say. He says he has the name of someone here in Houston who specializes in this procedure. Let me know if you want to find out more.
Love!
Priya, please, please find out anything you can - we really need the information.
After being referred to the Southwestern Medical Center, John talked at length with them today and were told that the best doctor for us would be David Podeszwa. However, he only sees people once a month - whne he visits on the first Wednesday. Weird, we thought, but hey that's tomorrow so can meet him? No, they told us, he's actually not visiting this month. Ugh!
Anyway, we made an appointment for like the 5th of November and we're trying to find out if we might be able to see him sooner at his main hospital in...another part of Dallas? It's complicated.
But yes, please find out, and also if you can inquire if the doctor does "adolescent hip osteotomies" because apparently this procedure is done more pediatric-ly and we need someone who can work with mature bones.
Thx.
